How to wear a pashmina? As the USA leading online wholesaler of pashminas and wraps, we are often asked both how to tie and how to wear one of our pashmina shawl wrap scarves. Most of us will simply drape our pashmina over our shoulders and, while this does look gorgeous, there are so many other ways a pashmina can be styled. A pashmina or scarf tied with a simple knot or folded creatively can lend individuality to any outfit and means that one pashmina shawl can be worn in so many different ways.
Our classic pashmina shawls are particularly popular at this time of year as they are a perfect accessory for weddings (as a bridal or bridesmaid pashmina or as a pashmina for a wedding guest). They are also a perfect accent for outfits being worn on ladies’ days, the races, balls, Ascot and other formal events.
HOW TO WEAR A PASHMINA
Shrug Style
To tie this shrug style wrap you will need a small rubber band. Then just throw the pashmina around your shoulders, hold the two long ends at the back together and pull them through your rubber band. Adjust the rubber band so it sits underneath the back of the shawl, you’ll have tails, but won’t see how they are fixed together.
Shoulder Wrap
Throw the wrap around your shoulders and then take one corner, twist and lay over one shoulder. Take the other long end that is hanging down, feed it over the top at the neckline and down
Folded and Tied Pashmina Wrap
To tie this pashmina style, just fold your wrap in half (so it looks more like a square), then fold it diagonally, you will end up with two points at the back. Holding two corners (the longest length) wrap the shawl around your shoulders and tie on one side.
Brooch Pin
You will need a decorative brooch for this wrap tie. Make it big and sparkly if you are going somewhere formal! Fold the scarf in half around your body, then pin the two parts of the wrap together on one shoulder, don’t make it too close to your neck or you won’t be able to lift the arm that is underneath the wrap.
Diagonal Wrap
Again this pashmina tie needs a brooch. Just drape the pashmina diagonally across your body and pin it together at one hip with a gorgeous decorative brooch.
Shoulder Twist
Scrunch your pashmina up as if you were going to wear it as a scarf and wrap it once around your neck ending with the two long ends at the front. Tuck each end through the neck and pull sideways to drag the tails of the scarf across your shoulders.
